Pamela “Pam” Gail Mancil, 67, of Sulphur, passed away on August 23, 2025, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family. Pam grew up in Carlyss and was a 1976 graduate of Sulphur High School. She attended McNeese before getting married. She loved living in Guam while her husband Frank was stationed there and always wanted to go back. Pam loved horses and enjoyed riding from a young age and riding in rodeos. Pam’s passion was fishing, going to the beach, and cooking for her family on Sunday with her grandkids. Pam worked at Southwest Louisiana Veterinary Clinic for over 20 years. She loved her job and her coworkers. Pam was also an avid pool player and ran several teams over the years.
Pam is survived by her sons, James Mancil and wife, Samantha and Justin Mancil and wife, Candi; her grandchildren, JJ Mancil, Haley Mancil, Alaina Mancil, Carlee Mancil, Chase Mancil, Wyatt Mancil, and Samiya Mancil; her mother, Evonne Caldwell; her brother, Darrell Caldwell; and her great grandchildren, Kasen, Kollen and Kohen Kickel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Mancil; father, Ritchell Caldwell; sister, Belinda Scott; brother, Ricky Caldwell; uncles, Tabby Murrell and Mitchell Caldwell; and nephew, Jacob Scott.
Services for Pam will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 11 AM at Johnson Funeral Home of Sulphur. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 9 AM until the time of service. Burial will follow at Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss.
The family would like to thank Ginger with Harbor Hospice, her sister-in-law, Marie Moreida, and her close friends, Mary Lyons and Ronnie Lopez.
