Lacassine- Patrice McDaniel Johnson Brown, 53, departed this life on Saturday, August 30, 2014 surrounded by her loving family.
Patrice was born in Jennings on November 20, 1960 to Benjamin and Patrica “Patty” Bourgeois McDaniel. She was a graduate of Lacassine High School and attended McNeese State University and Sowela Technical College. She was employed as an administrative assistant in the medical field and her work required her to travel the United States. Throughout her travels, Patrice met many people who became lifelong friends. Patrice was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Her children and grandchildren were the loves of her life. She enjoyed crafts and decorating for all holidays.
She is survived by her husband of 4 years, Richard Brown; mother, Patty McDaniel; son, Jacob Johnson and wife, Nancy of Lake Charles; daughter, Jessica Johnson Guillot and husband, Bryan of Lacassine; step-son, Richard Brown and companion, Teresa Williams of Lake Charles; step-daughters, Anita Hebert and husband, D. W. of Holmwood, Helena Folsom and husband, Leon of Holmwood; brother, Benjamin McDaniel, Jr. and wife, Theresa of Lake Charles; grandchildren, Kaitlyn & Grey Johnson, Maleigha & Aaron Guillot, Lakyn, Camryn, Dayton Folsom, Hunter & Abby Hebert, Aubrey & Alex Brown. Patrice is preceded in death by her father, Benjamin McDaniel and granddaughter, Taylor Oliver Folsom.
