Patricia Dell Lalanne Johnson

Patricia Dell LaLanne Johnson, 68, of Lake Charles, LA passed away in her home on June 28, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 31, 1949, in Lake Charles, LA to I.M. (Chook) and Mildred Vidrine LaLanne.

Pat was a 1967 graduate of LaGrange High School. Pat and her husband Wally owned and operated D&W Drilling Company for 37 years. Pat leaves behind the Godly fruit of a life well lived. She liberally and without hesitation sowed many seeds of love, faith, encouragement, understanding, joy and peace into the lives of those around her. These blessings have and will continue to grow and produce much fruit. She will be remembered as a mother, a sister, an aunt and a maw-maw who operated in a love that could have only been bestowed by her heavenly father.

Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, I.M. (Chook) and Mildred Vidrine LaLanne.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband and best friend of 49 years, W.C. Johnson, Jr. (Wally); daughters, Stacy (Lucas) Verret, Kyla (Philip) Zaunbrecher; and the lights of her life, her grandchildren, Lucas Cole Verret, Claire Elyse Zaunbrecher and Kent Walter Zaunbrecher. Also left to cherish her memory are her sisters, Beth (Eddy) Gentry and Sue Cornes (Danny Hebert). She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews and friends, all of whom hold special memories of our precious Patty.

The family will receive friends at Johnson Funeral Home of Friday, June 30, 2017, from 4-9pm with a Celebration of Life to be held at 7pm. Visitation will continue on Saturday morning from 9am-1pm at the Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1pm. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Park.
