Patricia Joyce Chassay

Patricia Joyce Chassay, 80, of Lake Charles passed away in comfort and at peace with the Lord at 10:10 PM on Friday, October 27, 2017 in a local hospital.

Ms. Chassay was born in Chicago, IL on March 12, 1937 and moved to Iowa, LA where she was a graduate of Iowa High School before moving to Lake Charles in the early 1950’s.  She then attended McNeese State University graduating with a B.S. in Accounting in 1983.  She worked as an accountant for several businesses including First National Bank for 31 years, Cameron State Bank for 10 years, VFW in Moss Bluff for 6 years, and H & R Block for 30 years.  Ms. Chassay also owned Pat’s Accounting Service.  She was the Treasurer of the VFW Auxiliary for more than 20 years.

She enjoyed traveling and frequently took cruises.

Those left to cherish her memory are her brothers, Roger Chassay, Jr. of Huntsville, AL and Charles Chassay of Houston, TX; a long term friend, Alan Johnson of Moss Bluff; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, October 29, 2017 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel.  Deacon George Carr will officiate.  Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM and continue until the start of the service.  A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday in Beauregard Memorial Cemetery in Deridder.
