Patricia Marie Johnson

November 25, 1922 — November 11, 2018

Patricia Marie Johnson, 95, passed away on November 11, 2018 at a local care facility surrounded by her family. She was born on November 25, 1922.

 

Mrs. Johnson was a native of Lake Charles and a graduate of LaGrange High School. She was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church where she sang in the choir and was a member of the Altar Society for over 50 years. Mrs. Johnson enjoyed playing pokeno with friends from church and sewing and baking.

 

She is survived by three sons, Glen Johnson, Vaughn Johnson (Leslie), and Dale Johnson; three daughters, Connie Suberbielle (Art), Brenda Johnson, and Pamalee Kron (Bubba); two sisters, Wilda June Slessinger, and Yvonne Wainwright; brother, Louis Pizanie; thirteen grandchildren, and nineteen great grandchildren.

 

She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Leo D. Johnson; son, Larry Johnson; parents, Felix and Lorenza Pizanie; daughter-in-law, Mona Johnson, son-in-law, Clifton Nickens; four brothers, F.J., Johnny, Harvey, and Felix Pizanie Jr.; and sister, Willa Mae Firenza.

 

Funeral services will be at St. Theodore Catholic Church at 11AM on Wednesday, November 14. Father Aubrey Guilbeau and Monsignor Charles Dubois will officiate. Burial will be at Old Ritchie Cemetery. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home from 5PM to 8PM on Tuesday, November 13 with a rosary at 6PM. Visitation will resume at the funeral home Wednesday morning at 9:30AM to 10:30AM.

 

The family would like to express their appreciation for the loving care provided by the staff of Brookdale Assisted Living, Clare Bridge, and Heart of Hospice.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Theodore Altar Society.
