Patricia "Pat" Poland Bond

Patricia “Pat” Poland Bond was called from this life to her heavenly home on Tuesday, June 20, 2017.  She was 68 years old and in good standing with the Catholic Church at her death. 

Pat was a graduate of Marion High School in Lake Charles.  She was an all-star pitcher for the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s League baseball team.  She enjoyed fishing trips with her husband.  Her greatest enjoyment was time spent with her precious grandchildren.

She is survived by her sister, Juanita “Nita” Poland, two daughters:  Melinda Bond of Phoenix, Arizona and Jennifer Bond Allen (Richard) of New Braunfels, Texas;  5 grandchildren:  Jason Nichols (& Scarlett) of North Carolina, Bobby Nichols (& Brittany) of Phoenix Arizona, Cheyenne Cast, Dylan Cast and Ashley Allen of New Braunfels, Texas;  6 Great-Grandchildren:  Addison Nichols, Claire Wolfe, Trey Hughes, Peyton Nichols, Ryan Nichols and Emma-Kathryn Ann Nichols.  She is also survived by her Mother-in-Law,  Sadie Bond of Lake Charles, LA, sister-in-law Pam Menke and nephew Chris Menke and neice Laura Menke & great-niece Maddalene Beers and brother-in-Law Steve Bond (& Jenny) and nephew Lane Bond & niece Emily Bond.

She was preceded in death by her parents Robert “Bob” Poland & Mildred “Nook” May Poland and her beloved husband, Michael Keith Bond. 

A memorial service, officiated by Msgr. Charles Dubois will be held at Johnson’s Funeral Home on Lake Street in Lake Charles, LA on Friday, June 30, 2017.  Family & friends may gather beginning at 1:00 p.m. and the rosary followed by the memorial service will be at 4:00 p.m.   Interment will be in the Sallier Cemetery in Lake Charles LA at a later date.
