Patricia "Patty" Marie Borne

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia Marie Borne, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was born on December 18, 1938, in Hayes, LA, where she spent her life dedicated to her family and community. Patricia departed this world on May 7, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

Patricia was a devoted homemaker, known for her warm heart and nurturing spirit. Her passion for sewing, baking, and shopping was only rivaled by her deep love for her family. She took joy in crafting beautiful moments and delicious meals that brought everyone together. A member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Patricia's faith was a guiding force in her life, influencing the love and kindness she showed to all who knew her.Patricia is survived by her four sons, Brian Borne (Trudy), Marvin Borne, Lonnie Borne, and Richard Borne (Delores), as well as her daughter-in-law Janet Wells. She leaves behind a legacy of love with her grandchildren: Shawn Borne, Kirk Borne, Barry Streets, Nicholas Borne, Jacob Borne, Kristen Borne, Richard Borne, Jr., Kaleb Borne, Hannah Bornman, and Rachel Cullia. Additionally, Patricia is survived by her sister Clara Wilson and brother Ronald Fruge, who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

Friends and family are invited to honor Patricia's life and legacy during the following memorial services at Johnson Funeral Home of Iowa. A Rosary will be held at 6:00 PM, followed by the Memorial Service at 6:30 PM on May 13, 2026. A visitation will be begin at 3:00 PM on Wednesday in the funeral home. As per her request cremation will follow under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home of Iowa.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Laris Borne, her parents, Johnice Fruge, and Lou Ella Derouen, her son, Chris Borne, her grandson, Scot Borne, her brothers, Johnny Fruge, Jimmy Fruge, Gary Fruge, her daughters-in-law, Vickie Borne, Diane Borne, Cynthia Maddox, and her son-in-law, Billy Wilson.
