Patricia Rose Abercrombie

Patricia Rose Abercrombie, 85, passed away on January 29, 2024 in a local care facility.

She was born on August 7, 1938 to James and Elsie Logan in Shreveport, Louisiana.
She especially enjoyed traveling and as often as possible brought her family along to have fun and see the world with her. She has been on fifty cruises and has traveled to all seven continents. She loved to laugh and have fun. She played the piano for many years in church and was dedicated to her Christian faith.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Nickie Stevens; her children, Aimee Gilmore (Charles), Kay Gilmore (John), Kristi Justice (Bubba), and Joshua Abercrombie (Angel); grandchildren, Malinda Lacour (Gavin), John Adam Gilmore (Autumn), Jesse Gilmore, Marshall Gilmore (Katie), Taylor Buller (André), Micah Gilmore (Emily), Kara Summerlin (Austin), Logan Gilmore, William Wicks, and Tyler Justice; as well as, 10 great grandchildren; sister, Robbie Yerkey; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Wayne Abercrombie; grandson, Zach Donahue; and her parents.

Her funeral service will be held at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff on Friday, February 2, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Paul Priest will officiate. Burial will take place in Old Ritchie Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff on Thursday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and will resume on Friday from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m.
