Patti Elena Owen

Patti Elena Owen, 79 of Sulphur, LA was called Home on March 3,2021.

Patti was the third of six children born to James and Bonnie Foster. She was born in Quanah, TX on January 26, 1942.

She attended and graduated from Quanah High School where she enjoyed Home Economics and social outings. When she was fifteen, it was a trip to the fair that led her to the gentleman she would enjoy sixty-two years of marriage with. Randal says it was love at first sight.

They were married on June 14, 1958 and together welcomed two daughters, Vicky and Suzanne.

She was a true Sassy Southern Lady, who led by example teaching that family is the root to which you grow from and lean on. She enjoyed nothing more than spending time with them, spoiling them with carefully prepared meals, especially around the holidays. Throwing a party was a common thing for her, she loved how they brought her family and friends around. She loved parties so much that she even threw a surprise “Puppy Shower” for Randal’s favorite pooch, Breaux.

She worked hard along side her husband, earning her Real Estate License, and together they formed their own Real Estate Agency and Property Management Company, Owen and Associates.

You best believe she threw a party when she discovered she was becoming a grandmother, NaNaw as she was known doted on her grandchildren and great grandchildren all the time.

She was welcomed into Heaven by her parents; a son in-law, W. Larry Hood; her siblings, Mark Foster, Phil Foster, Sandy K. Sanders, and Marsha Wertz.

Those left to cherish her memories and carry on the family traditions are; her husband Randal Morris Owen; daughters, Vicky Hood and Suzanne (Terry) Fong; Grandchildren, Amy Hood Perez, Jeremy (Heather) Hood, Joshua (Brittany) Hood, Jacob (Jamie) Hood, Amanda (Justin) Keller, and Stephany Fong; great grandchildren, Elena, Tyler, Izzy, Immy, Andrew, Kara, Rowen, William, Dani Lynn; her siblings, Oma Nell Foster, Adelle Foster, and Kay Owen McClain; as well as lots of extended family.

The family will welcome friends on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 beginning at 6pm to 8pm at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Visitation to resume Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at 3pm with a funeral service beginning at 4pm, led by Brian Wood.  Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson and Robison Funeral Home.

In keeping with her Sassy Southern Spirit, you are invited to wear your best pearls.
