Iowa – Paul Lovelace Landry, born September 21, 1935 in Kaplan, son of Willie and Eva Mallett Landry, passed away in his residence Wednesday, January 17, 2018, at the age of 82.
Paul served in the U. S. Army from 1957 to 1960. He enjoyed and dearly loved hunting, fishing, gardening, cooking, playing his guitar and playing cards. He was always willing to help anyone in need; day or night. Paul could fix anything and everything. He continued welding for family and friends after retiring from PPG after 28 years.
Survivors include his daughters, Karen Landry of Iowa, and Nancy Miles (Joe) of Moss Bluff; son, Paul Warren Landry (Debra); step-sons, John Dale Hebert, Wayne Hebert, Greg Hebert and Brian Hebert; grandchildren, Dillon Willer, Hannah Miles, Hope Guillory, Morgan Mestas, Christina Landry Holland, Lisa Landry, Justin & Jordan Hebert, Brannon Hebert, Brittany Duplechian, Courtney Leonard, Paul Hebert, Braque Addison, Thad Buxton, Colby Hebert; 16 great-grandchildren, with 1 on the way.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son, James Randall Landry; spouse, Verna Hebert Landry; sisters, Jeanette Landry and Audrey Ann Holman; brothers, Elmer Jay Landry, Leo Landry, Louis “Uncle Brown” Landry, and Ernest Landry.
A Mass of Christian burial will be in St. Raphael Catholic Church – Iowa, Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 11 a.m. with Father Dismas Mauk officiating. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery. Visitation is Friday in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home - Iowa from 4 p.m. – 9 p.m., with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will resume Saturday in the funeral home from 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
