Pauline Cash

Dequincy

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Pauline Cash, who peacefully left us on May 6, 2026, at the age of 84. Born on June 3, 1941, in Malvern, Arkansas, Pauline embodied love, generosity, and the joy of family throughout her life. Pauline was a devoted homemaker, proudly nurturing her family and creating a warm and welcoming home. Her passion for cooking was legendary, especially her delightful chocolate pies and comforting chicken and dumplings, which brought everyone together around the table. She cherished every moment spent with her family, celebrating holidays, birthdays, and ordinary days with laughter and love. A member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Sulphur, Pauline found great joy and community in her church family. She adored her pastor, Lamar Huffman, and his wife Vickie, and they held a special place in her heart. Pauline married the love of her life, Kenneth Cash Sr., in Malvern, and together they shared a beautiful life, moving to California for seven years before settling in Louisiana. Pauline is survived by her doting daughters, Debra Cash; Penny Cash (John Brockman); her son, Ken Cash Jr. (Peggy); twelve cherished grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren who filled her days with joy. She is also lovingly remembered by her sisters, Emogene Nutt, Burdean Cave, and Elizabeth Williams, along with her sister-in-law Virginia Green and brother-in-law Bob Cash. Although she is preceded in death by her dear husband Kenneth, her parents, Sam and Ellie Cunningham, and her siblings, Maxine Downing, Donald Ray Cunningham, Mary Ross, her legacy of love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. We invite family and friends to join us in celebrating Pauline's wonderful life. A public viewing will be held at Johnson Funeral Home of Sulphur on May 9, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. She will be laid to rest at 2:30 PM at Big Woods Cemetery in Vinton, Louisiana. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Brighton Bridge Hospice caregivers for their compassionate support during this challenging time. A special acknowledgment goes to her loving daughters, Debra and Penny, along with her Louisiana family, who stood by her side with unwavering love and strength. Pauline Cash will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the memories we hold dear. Let us celebrate her life and the love she brought to each of us.
