Lake Charles – Pauline Marie Citizen, 47, passed away in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family on Thursday, June 8, 2017

Sister Pauline Marie Citizen was born October 24, 1969 in Houston, TX to Mary Sue Brown and the late Paul Eugene Citizen. Sister Pauline was baptized and was a member of Livingway Pentecostal Church. She had a smile and a laugh that would light up a room. She was always willing to give her last to other knowing that God would supply the rest.

Pauline had many accomplishments. She was a proud 1988 alumni of Lake Charles Boston High School. In 2012, she graduated from Sowela Technical Community College with an Associates of Applied Science degree in process technology. For 13 years, sister Pauline was happily employed by the City of Lake Charles Water Treatment Division. She loved and cherished the city she resided in. She volunteered for many events such as Bowl for Kid’s Sake, B.E.S.T, annual Crawfish Festival, annual Breast Cancer Walk and so many more events. She also worked the Calcasieu Parish Voters poll.

Sister Pauline enjoyed fishing with her husband Jorge Pineda, traveling, dancing, spending time with family and friends and she adored her grandson Gavin Lambert.

Pauline Marie Citizen leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband Jorge Pineda of Lake Charles; daughter, Le’Quitta Citizen Lambert and husband John III of Houston, TX; grandson, Gavin Lambert of Houston, TX; mother, Mary Brown of Lake Charles; sisters, Alma Lewis of Lake Charles and Latricia Citizen of Dallas, TX; 2 nephews; 1 niece; 2 great nieces and a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Paul Eugen Citizen

The Celebration of Life service will be in Livingway Pentecostal Church of Lake Charles on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 2 p.m. with Rev. C.R. Nugent officiating. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home. Visitation is Saturday in the church from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
