Pearl Lormand, 90, passed away in a local care facility on Saturday, January 26, 2019.
She was born on January 12, 1929 to Frank and Arease Savant Doucet in Kinder, LA.
She was deeply devoted to prayer and her walk with the Lord. She will be remembered as an excellent cook and seamstress and for her love of shopping and visiting the local thrift stores.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Keith Lormand and wife Gayle of Moss Bluff; daughters, Rita Hollowell and husband Bob of Kinder, LA, Dearrah Buxton and husband Stephen of San Diego, CA, and Karen Pound and husband Don of Santa Fe, NM; 8 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Day Lormand; son, Michael Kent Lormand; parents; and numerous siblings.
Her funeral service will be held at Apostolic Temple at 10 AM on Wednesday, January 30, 2019. The Rev. Ricky Treece will officiate. Burial will follow the service in Indian Village Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at Apostolic Temple on Tuesday from 6 PM until 8 PM and will continue on Wednesday from 9 AM until the start of the service.
