Pearl Rita Mallett, born in Hathaway on January 26, 1938, daughter of the late Herbert and Ida Laviolette LaBouve, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at the age of eighty-six.
Pearl loved playing Pokeno, bingo, word search book, and watching game show network. She enjoyed spending time with friends at the Iowa Senior Center and was of the catholic faith.
She is survived by her children, Kenneth Mallett, Edward Mallett (Shirley), Belinda Nolan (David), Pamela Bellon (Ricky), Becky Fontenot (Jude), Timothy Mallett (Kimberly), Katina Soliz (Vincent); sisters, Eula Mae Roussell, Louella Mueller, Jean Castille; twenty grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Mallett; parents; daughters, Patricia Irving, Eugenia Mallett; grandson, Gage Mallett; sisters, Eunice Seamons, Ann Tazie Doucet; brothers, Herbert, Richard, Wilford, Nelson, Fernest, Ernest, Emerson, and Earl LaBouve.
Funeral services will be held in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 10 a.m. Rev. Roland Vaughn, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation will begin Friday in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6 p.m. and will resume Saturday in the funeral home from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m.
