It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Peggy Ann (Trosclair) Langley, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Peggy was born on September 24, 1948, in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, and she peacefully entered eternal rest on October 27, 2025, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, at the age of 77.
A proud graduate of LaGrange High School in 1966, Peggy dedicated her career to education, serving as an Administrative Assistant at McNeese University from 1982 until her retirement in 2007. Her commitment to education and her colleagues made her a cherished member of the university community, and her impact will be felt for years to come.
Peggy was not only known for her professional contributions but also for her boundless creativity and love for crafting. She had a passion for making jewelry and crocheting, often presenting her creations as cherished gifts to family and friends. Each piece she crafted told a story, reflecting her thoughtfulness and care. While she immensely enjoyed those things, her favorite past time of all was spending time with and spoiling her grandchildren. "Nana" was a title she cherished and took seriously.
Peggy is survived by her loving husband of nearly 57 years, James Langley; her devoted son, Chad Langley and wife Tiffany, her grandchildren, Brandon Douget, Austin Langley, Emily Langley, Allison Langley, and Coby Langley, and one great granddaughter, Vivian LeBlanc. She is also survived by her brothers, David and Donald Trosclair. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester Trosclair and Edith Lucille (Cormier) Trosclair.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the public viewing that will take place on October 30, 2025, from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home, located at 4321 Lake St., Lake Charles, Louisiana. A heartfelt funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM, where we will gather to celebrate Peggy's life, share memories, and honor the beautiful legacy she leaves behind. Burial will follow services at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
