Perry Allen Granger

Perry Allen Granger, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at the age of 70.

Perry was born in Lake Charles on March 19, 1953, son of the late Willie L. Granger and Lou Ella Robideaux.

Perry never met a stranger, and his infectious smile and laughter would light up a room. He loved going to Johns Barn and “cutting up” and picking on and being picked on with everyone. When he had enough, he would let you know!

He worked for Piccadilly, Mr. Bill’s and was a laborer as well.

Survivors are his sisters, Jackie Ann Granger Thomas (Barry), and Ida Marie Granger, his nieces and nephews who will miss their Uncle P, Shonda Mhire (Ronald), Angel Veronie (Mark), and Misty Theriot (Lex); great-nieces, and nephews, Lynsey Mhire, William Veronie, Whitney Veronie and Reagan Veronie; great-great nieces, Sadie Theriot, and Ivy Veronie. He is also survived by special friends, Bill & Darlene Pousson. He is preceded in death by his parents.

The family would like to thank his Nurse Practitioner, Charlotte Ardoin, and her assistant, Ashley.

Funeral services are Sunday, December 31, 2023 11 a.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Deacon Michael Tramel, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation begins Saturday in the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., with a rosary at 5:30 p.m., led by Bryan Thomas. A time for sharing stories about Perry will follow the rosary. Visitation will resume Sunday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
