Phillip Ray Arceneaux

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Phillip Ray Arceneaux, a beloved father, brother, and grandfather, who left us on July 10, 2026. Born on October 9, 1953, in Welsh, Louisiana, Phillip spent his days immersed in the simple joys of life. A dedicated farmer, he took great pride in tending to the land and was known for his hard work and unwavering commitment to his family.

Phillip had a passion for fishing and always looked forward to spending time with his beloved grandbabies. His quiet strength and warm presence will be sorely missed by those who knew him. He was an avid reader, often found with a book in hand, lost in another world.

Phillip is survived by his children: Ryan Arceneaux, Marcy, Elizabeth, and Jennifer Arceneaux. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Allison Louviere, Megan Waguespack, Dilon Britt, Brice, Karlie, and Xander Taylor, and Jolie Bouffine. He is also survived by his sisters Loretta Arceneaux, Molly Eason, and Charlotte Moore, along with his brother Allen Arceneaux.

Friends and family are invited to come together to remember Phillip and celebrate his life. A Gathering of Friends will take place at Johnson Funeral Home of Iowa on July 14, 2026, starting at 4:00 p.m., followed by a Memorial Service at 6:00 p.m. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home of Iowa.

Phillip will be remembered for his love of family, his dedication to farming, and the quiet moments spent in the great outdoors. His spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched.

Phillip was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Matilda Trahan Arceneaux; his brothers, Phillip Arceneaux, Jr. and LJ Arceneaux.
