Phillip Joseph Gary, Sr., born in Iowa, on April 29, 1944, son of the late Asa Gary, Sr., and Mae (Broussard) Gary, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at the age of 78.
Phillip enjoyed playing cards, shooting pool with his friends, and going fishing.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Maddox Gary; parents; son, Adrian Ray Gary; brother, Asa Gary, Jr.
Survivors are his son, Phillip Joseph “Joe” Gary, Jr. of Lake Charles; sister, Alice Gary Haven of Huffman, Texas; brother, Tim Gary, of Lake Charles; granddaughters, Dalene Louviere, Briana Clair Fabacher, and grandson, Tad Fabacher.
Funeral services are Sunday, January 15, 2023 in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa at 1 p.m. Rev. Roland Vaughn, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation begins Sunday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
