Preston Lee LeBlanc, age 90, died peacefully surrounded by family on his beloved wife, Bonnie's birthday. Preston proudly served in the U.S. Air Corp from 1944-1945 in Italy during World War II. He served as a nose gunner on a B-24, Forever Amber. He was the last surviving member in a crew of nine. Preston worked as a building contractor in both commercial and home construction. Preston loved spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, and golfing. Survivors include his sons, David LeBlanc and wife Patricia, Gerry LeBlanc and wife Cheryl and Richie LeBlanc and companion Terry Franklin; daughters, Denise LeBlanc and Tanya LeBlanc and companion Robert Edwards; brother, Max LeBlanc and wife Laura; sister, Deanna Gennuso; ten grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Bonnie Annette LeBlanc; parents, Liola and Harry LeBlanc; brother and sister-in-law, Rolland and Trudy LeBlanc; grandson, Dylan Nezat; and great-granddaughter, Carlie Rae Brook Crewell. His funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 26, 2015 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Father Nathan Long will officiate. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM with a rosary at 4:30 PM and continue on Monday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.
