Quintin “Nino” Colby Charles, 34, was called home on Tuesday morning, May 27, 2025, in Lake Charles, La. He was a beloved son, devoted father, cherished brother, an amazing uncle, and a truly
unforgettable friend.

Quintin was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles and graduated from Lagrange High School in 2010. To know Q was to love him deeply, and behind his tough exterior was a gentle soul with an uncanny sense of
humor and quick wit who brought endless laughter to those who knew and loved him. Quintin was especially devoted to his children and cherished every moment he spent with them. He will be remembered
for his warm heart, fierce loyalty and his unwavering love for his family and friends. His presence lit up the room, and although humble, he always remained unapologetically true to himself. His absence leaves
an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who loved him.

Quintin is survived by his loving parents, Clarissa Arceneaux of Lake Charles and Reginald Charles (Monica) of Iowa; his children Ava Charles, Ty’Lynn Charles, Kholbie Charles, and Quintin Charles, Jr.; Siblings, Reginald, Chelsea, Josh, Justin, Carrin, and Nicholas; his paternal grandmother, Dorothy Charles; and maternal grandfather, Ulysses Gobert (Lorene); one niece, Nevaeh Butler; and three nephews Jessie And Jaxxon Mitchell, and Austin Noble; as well as a host of numerous other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Wallace Charles; maternal grandparents, Maxine Kerlegon Perez and Charles Kerlegon; stepfather, Robert Word and uncle, Vance Charles.

Pallbearers are Mike Craven, Greg Galentine, Casey Vital, Benay Moore, Cory Hardy, Daurtez Livingston. Honorary pallbearers are Reginald Franklin, Joshua Auzenne, Justin Charles, Nicholas Charles, Jessie Mitchell, Jaxxon Mitchell, Austin Noble, Donovan McZeal, & Zane DeRouen

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 11 a.m. at St. Raphael Catholic Church in Iowa, with Rev. Anthony Fontenot officiating. Burial will follow at Lacassine Cemetery under the
direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation will be held at Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Saturday morning from 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
