Ralph Edward Corbello, 79 of Woodlawn, Louisiana, passed away on September 10, 2024, after complications from a heart attack.
Ralph was born on March 11, 1945, to Parents, Eddie and Dorothy Corbello, in Lake Charles, LA. After graduating from Welsh High School in 1963, he went on to get his Bachelor's degree in Agribusiness from the University of Southwestern Louisiana (now known as the University of Louisiana at Lafayette).
In 1963, Ralph met Jerrie Notestine at Welsh High School, whom he married in 1965. They went on to have 3 children.
Ralph Corbello was predeceased by his parents, Eddie and Dorothy Corbello. and his siblings, Richard Corbello and Catherine Martin.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jerrie Corbello, his daughter, Mary Henning (husband, Tim), and his sons, Bryan Corbello, (wife, Dawn, and their children, Jonathon and Bengamin “Luke”), and Jason Corbello (wife, Ranee, and their children, Andrew Fontenot, Audra Fontenot, and Kendall Corbello), Ralph's only great grandchild, Lyle Corbello, son of Jonathon Corbello, Ralph's sisters, Marie Mercier (husband Al), Linda Conrad (husband, Charlie), Harriet Corbello, and his brother, Jimmy Corbello (wife, Kay), Brother-in-law, Eddie Martin (wife, Lori), sister-in-law, Linda Smart, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He grew up farming with his dad in Fenton, Louisiana, and did so for two more years after graduating from college. He taught himself five computer programming languages to pursue a career as a Computer Operator. He then advanced to Computer Programming and then established his own business as a Computer Systems Analyst. He did this from 1978 to 1999, until he became disabled with serious health issues.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Johnson & Brown Funeral Home at 505 Hwy 90 East, Iowa, LA 70647. Viewing will be from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The service will begin at 3:00 pm on Saturday, 14, 2024.
