Randall Lance McDonald

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Randall "Randy" Lance McDonald, who left us on February 14, 2026, at the age of 61. Born on December 6, 1964, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Randy was a true local, known for his love of the outdoors and a passion for all things on wheels.

Randy was a dedicated Project Manager in the refinery industry, where his work ethic was as impressive as his love for fishing, riding, and collecting Harley Davidson motorcycles. If you knew him, you probably saw him behind the wheel of a Corvette, cruising around with a smile on his face. He was always the life of the party, with stories to tell and laughter to share.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and family, survived by his son, Joshua Buxton, and daughters Brittany Karey (Brandon) and Joy Simpson, as well as grandchildren Brock Buxton, Ayden Langdon, Chase Langdon, Braylee Karey, Brilee Buxton, and Bethany Karey. He is also survived by his beloved aunt, Clella Mae Smith (Bruce), and the mother of his children, Laura Cagle (Robert).

A memorial service will be held to honor Randall's memory on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home of Iowa, with a gathering of friends starting at 1:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to come together to share stories, celebrate his life, and say their goodbyes. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home of Iowa.

Rest easy, Randy. Your adventurous spirit will live on in the stories we tell and the memories we cherish.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil McDonald and Elizabeth Jessen Harris; his brothers, Richard McDonald and Raymond McDonald; his dog, Bella.
