Randall Roy Ravia, 37, of Sulphur passed away at 12:52 AM on Sunday, October 26, 2025.
Randall, of Sulphur, Louisiana, was born on May 30, 1988, in Lake Charles. He was a proud graduate of Sulphur High School.
Randall began his career in the construction industry before joining the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Department, where he served with dedication for ten years and rose to the position of Detective in the Violent Crimes Division. Following his law enforcement career, he began working as a Lead NDT Specialty Technician for Advanced Corrosion Training Center, where his strong work ethic and leadership were well respected.
Randall was happiest outdoors—whether fishing, hunting, riding ATVs, or cooking for family and friends at the family camp. He never met a stranger and had a heart of gold. Randall’s love for life, his laughter, and his generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife of 19 years, Morgan Ravia; children, Neely and Rustyn Ravia; parents, Roy and Katie Ravia; sister, Renee Ravia Scioneaux (David); paternal grandmother, Mary Katherine Spell; Granny Carla; in laws, Jana Moore (Patrick) and Ed and Allison Fontenot; brother in law, Keith Scioneaux; sisters-in-law, Taylor Nevils (Michael) and Madison Fontenot; step sister-in-law, Chynna Adams; Godsons, Garrett Scioneaux and Owen Nevils, nephew, Jake Ramour; niece, Laine Ramour; and countless cousins and friends who he adored.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Edward Lee Ravia and maternal grandmother, Nettie Helen Bertrand.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 31, 2025 in the Johnson Funeral Home chapel in Sulphur. Rev. Marcus Wade will officiate. Burial will follow in Big Woods Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Thursday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will continue on Friday from 9:00 AM until the start of the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made the Children’s Miracle Network of Christus St. Patrick’s Hospital, christusochsnerswlafoundation.org/donate/ or cash donations to go toward a tree to be planted on Randall’s favorite piece of property in his memory.
