Ray Allen LeBlanc

April 9, 1953 — August 19, 2025

Lake Charles, Louisiana

Ray Allen LeBlanc, 72, passed away peacefully at home in Lake Charles, LA, on August 19, 2025. He was born in Kaplan, LA, to Milfred J. and Leon Benoit LeBlanc on April 9, 1953.

Ray was the truest example of a man devoted to his family and to the Lord. For 51 years, he shared life with his soulmate, Jamie, walking side by side through every season. He worked tirelessly for his loved ones, often sacrificing his own comfort and missing special moments to make sure his family had what they needed. For Ray, providing wasn’t just about work; it was about love, duty, and faithfulness.

His Cajun French roots ran deep, and his hands bore the marks of a lifetime of hard work, beginning at just 12 years old when he left school to work in the rice fields. He later gave 45 years of his life to the oil field, where no broken bone, illness, or hardship could keep him from showing up. Even in the most difficult times, whether caring for children at home, walking alongside a son in sickness, or bearing his own struggles, Ray’s determination and love never wavered.

Though quiet in his strength, Ray lit up around his grandchildren, who brought him endless joy. His family was his heart, and his faith was his anchor. A faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church, Ray lived with a steady devotion to God that shaped every part of his life.

Those left to carry on his legacy are his beloved wife, Jamie Hunter LeBlanc; his children, Jeanna Renee’ Mabini (Mike), Joseph Ray LeBlanc, and James Allen LeBlanc (Samantha); his daughter-in-law, Joanna LeBlanc; and his beloved bonus son, Jason Micah Tauzin (Lora). He was “Pawpaw” to fourteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and one more on the way. He is also survived by his siblings, Gloria Dean LeBlanc, Peggy Blessing, Deanna Gibbons (Gary), Cathy Goodeaux (Jerry), Tommy LeBlanc (Carole), Ronald LeBlanc; his sister-in-law, Rhonda LeBlanc; and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

He was welcomed into heaven by his parents; his son, Jessy Jay LeBlanc; his brother, Charlie LeBlanc; and his brother-in-law, Edwin Blessing.
