Raymond Gaspard

Raymond Gaspard, 82, was born on February 5, 1939 in Lake Charles.  He died Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at his residence in Grand Lake.  He worked at Guth Dairy and later as a cook at Crab Palace.  Raymond loved fishing, especially with his brothers-in-law, George, and John.

He is survived by his sisters, Betty Sonnier and husband George, Elaine Young, and Barbara Manuel and husband Chad; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Also, special friends T-Mike and Bubbie Duhon and Leonard Lada (who was like a son), and Anita Young, who cared for him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Glyn and Alice (Lavergne) Gaspard; brothers, Mac Gaspard and Earl Gaspard; and brother-in-law, John Young.

A celebration of Raymond’s life will be held on Wednesday, May 26, 2021.  Visitation will be from 10:00-12:00 with a rosary at 11:00 at Simple Traditions by Johnson Funeral Home, 3448 5^th Ave. Lake Charles, LA
