Lake Charles – Raymond Paul Quibodeaux, born in Rayne on August 12, 1944, son of Ivy Paul and Louise (Semar) Quibodeaux, passed away Friday, November 30, 2018, in Houston Methodist San Jacinto – Garth Hospital, at the age of 74.
He graduated from the Nashville Police Academy and was a Narcotics Detective for the Smyrna Police Department in Tennessee as well as Chief of Police for 8 years in Watertown, Tennessee. Raymond loved fishing and being with his family.
Survivors are his loving wife of 51 years, Susan Quibodeaux; son, Paul Alan Quibodeaux and wife, Opie, of Smyrna, Tennessee; mother, Louise Quibodeaux; grandson, Alan Gaige Quibodeaux; siblings, Harold Quibodeaux and wife, Dianna; Ronald Paul Quibodeaux and wife, Betty; and JoAnn Smith and husband, Bob, all of Lake Charles. He is preceded in death by his father, Ivy Paul Quibodeaux.
Cremation is under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
A Celebration of his life is Monday, December 3, 2018 at 4 p.m. in the home of Tammy and Russell Tommasi; 9569 Gulf Highway, Lake Charles, LA 70607.
