Raymond "Rammie" Verret

Lacassine ~ Raymond “Rammie” Verret, born in Welsh on August 17, 1961, son of Millard and Sandra Hardy Verret, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at the age of sixty-three.

Raymond worked at Wal-Mart for twenty-three years. He loved Popeyes Fried Chicken and watching wrestling. Raymond was a people person, he enjoyed talking and visiting with everyone.

He is survived by his parents, Millard and Sandra Verret; brother, Randy Verret, and wife Tina; niece, Heather Petry, and husband Blake; nephew, Cody Verret, and wife Jennifer; great nieces, Stella and Charlotte Petry; great nephew, Stetson Verret.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Verret; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Hardy.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, September 23, 2024 at 10 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Rev. Jom Joseph, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation begins in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Sunday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. and resumes Monday from 8 a.m. until 9:45 a.m.
