Rebecca A. Dartez

Rebecca Ann Domingue Dartez, 63, of Sulphur, LA, died at 4:30 PM on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 in a local hospital.

 

Mrs. Dartez was born December 18, 1954 in Lake Charles, LA, where she attended S. J. Welch School. She lived in the Lake Charles / Moss Bluff area all of her life until moving to Sulphur six years ago. She was a raised in the Catholic faith and was a past member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Mrs. Dartez enjoyed spending time outside in her garden, shopping, and loved to spend time with her family. She will always be remembered as a great cook with a heart of gold and had an infectious smile.

 

Mrs. Dartez is survived by her husband of thirty-two years, Roger Dartez of Sulphur; son, Jefferson Oberle of Baton Rouge; father, Hobert Domingue and wife Kathleen of Westlake, LA; siblings, Kent Domingue and wife Francis of Lake Charles, Carl Domingue of Moss Bluff, Jenny Stahl of Sulphur, Melissa LaRocca and husband Deron of Sulphur, Todd Domingue and wife Totsy of Moss Bluff, and Heather Guimbellot and husband Mike of Longville, LA; half-brother, Kevin Campbell and wife Abby of Kansas City, KS; along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family that she loved dearly.

 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ella Mae “Poochie” Daigle Bertrand; and in-laws, Leford and Georgia Dartez.

 

Her funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, March 9, 2018 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Monsignor Charles Dubois will officiate. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 AM until the start of the service with a rosary at 12:00 PM.
