Rebecca Louise McCluskey Benoit, born in Oakdale, Louisiana on April 5, 1956, passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2023, at the age of 67.
Rebecca was part owner of The Outrigger Restaurant in Cameron, LA until Hurricane Rita. After Hurricane Rita she worked until she retired with her husband to the country in Kinder, LA. Rebecca loved her pets, Princess, and Termite. Two things that would always bring a smile to Rebecca were her grandchildren and her love for music. She loved for the grandchildren to visit so she could do fun crafts and listen to her favorite music by the Bee Gees.
Rebecca is survived by her children, Angela Benoit (Roger), Victor Robinson (Irish Joy), and Dawn Robinson; siblings, Thomas McCluskey (Cathryn), Douglas McCluskey (Deleta), Margie Vincent and Barbara McCluskey; 6 grandchildren; Dylan, Jacob, Tyler, Hannah, Clara, and Zayden and Khezea. Along with two bonus grandchildren, Jerimiah, and Brayden. She is preceded in death by her parents Gerald and Rita McCluskey, husband Thomas Benoit and daughter, Sonja Renee Robinson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help with expenses.
Memorial services are Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at 11 a.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Rev. Roland Vaughn, Celebrant. A gathering of friends and family is Wednesday from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
