It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Rebecca LaRocca, aged 72, on January 26, 2026. Born on August 10, 1953, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Rebecca touched the lives of everyone she met with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family.
Rebecca graduated from LaGrange High School and furthered her education at McNeese State University. In 1970, she married her beloved husband, Joseph LaRocca, Sr., sharing over five decades of love and companionship. Together, they built a life filled with laughter and cherished memories in Lacassine, Louisiana.
For many years, Rebecca dedicated herself to her role as a mail carrier with the United States Postal Service, where her friendly smile and genuine spirit brightened the days of her many customers and coworkers. She was also a devoted member of Christ the King Church, where she found community and support among her fellow parishioners.
Rebecca was passionate about her family and found her greatest joy in spending time with them. She was the proud mother of Michael LaRocca (Mandi Broussard), Kristy Romine (Byron) and Joseph "Lil Joe" LaRocca, who preceded her in death. Her legacy will live on through her grandchildren - Jerith Bazinet (Becca), Ally Romine (Gary), Taylor Ducote (Shawn), Brittney Cotten (Trent), and Hunter LaRocca (Cadence) - as well as her 17 great-grandchildren, each of whom she adored.
Beyond her family, Rebecca enjoyed crocheting and exploring thrift stores, where she often found hidden treasures. Her creativity and resourcefulness were evident in all that she did, leaving a lasting impression on her loved ones.
Rebecca is survived by her devoted husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and multiple siblings, all of whom will miss her deeply but will carry her spirit in their hearts forever.
As per her request there will be no formal services.
In this time of sorrow, let us remember the beautiful legacy Rebecca leaves behind and the love she shared so freely. May her spirit continue to inspire us all.
Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbert and Dorothy LeBleu McComb.
