Rebecca Leigh Helms LeBleu

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rebecca Leigh Helms LeBleu, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, who departed this world on October 29, 2026, at the age of 68. Rebecca was born on April 12, 1958, in Abilene, TX, and later made her home in LeBleu Settlement, where she touched the lives of many with her kindness and warmth.

A proud graduate of LaGrange High School, Rebecca ended her professional journey as a secretary in the HVAC industry, where she dedicated many years of her life working for IRC. She was also known for her time at Villa Maria, where her caring nature shone brightly.

In 1983, Rebecca married her devoted husband, Wesley "J.R." LeBleu, Jr., and together they built a life full of love and laughter. She was a nurturing mother to her son, Jared Wesley LeBleu, and a doting sister to John Helms and Mary Helms Turner (Scott). Rebecca's family extended to include numerous loving nieces and nephews, all of whom cherished the time spent with her. She was also a proud pet parent to her beloved companion, Loosie.

Rebecca's passions were as vibrant as her spirit. She found joy in crafting, exploring thrift stores, visiting flea markets, and attending garage sales. Above all, her heart swelled with love when babysitting her great nephew, creating lasting memories that will be treasured by all.

A Memorial Service to honor Rebecca's life will be held on Friday, November 6, 2026, at 7:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home of Iowa, a Gathering of Friends will begin at 4:00 PM. Cremation as been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home of Iowa.

Rebecca Leigh LeBleu will be dearly missed but never forgotten. Her legacy of love, compassion, and creativity will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents, HT Helms, and Sherry Gilmore Helms; her in-laws, Wesley LeBleu, Sr, and Sally LeBleu.
