Regina Rose Trahan Abshire

Regina Rose Trahan Abshire, born in Welsh on February 18, 1965, daughter of Joseph Nolan “Red” and Shirley Ann Benoit Trahan, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2024, at the age of fifty-nine.

Regina enjoyed crafts, fishing and volunteering. She was a graduate of Welsh High School and was of the catholic faith.

Regina is survived by her mother, Shirley Trahan; children, Josh Abshire, Hannah Abshire (Louis Durio); siblings, Tony Trahan (JoAnn), Shannon Trahan (Cindy), Paul Trahan (Rachelle), Carla Trahan (Brent Sonnier); grandchildren, Nolan, Ethan, Liam, and Owen on the way.

She is preceded in death by her father, Joseph Nolan “Red” Trahan; step-father, Wilbert “Boo” Trahan; granddaughters, Olivia Abshire, Maybelle Durio; pets, Chloe, Peaches.

Funeral services will be held in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Monday, July 22, 2024 at 10 a.m. Rev. Roland Vaughn, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation will begin Sunday in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:30 p.m. and will resume Monday in the funeral home from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m.
