Iowa – Reginald “Reggie” Barry Dugas, born December 1, 1941, son of the late Clarence “Kennie” and Ruby (Norris) Dugas, passed away Friday, May 25, 2018, at the age of 76.
Reggie was a graduate of Iowa High and attended IBM. He was a bulk cement supervisor with Halliburton and worked for Transwood Trucking. Reggie was a former member of the Krewe of Autre Chance and attended St. John the Evangelist. He enjoyed watching Sci Fi movies, woodworking, BBQ’s and camping with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Dianna “Lynn” Dugas; children, Ruby Guillory (Mitch) of Houston, Regina “Shawn” Dyson (Brian) of Roanoke, Chris Dugas (Angie) of Carlyss, Shelley Church of Moss Bluff, Janeese Fruge (Nicholas) of Iowa, Justin Dugas (Sarah) of Wimberley, Texas; siblings, Jason Dugas, Cyndi Gwatney, Laura Lee Eagleson, Peter Williams, Lloyd Williams, all of Lake Charles; 22 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Matt Dugas and brother, Larry “Scorchy” Dugas.
Funeral services are Monday, May 28, 2018 at 2 p.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa, with Father Roland Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday from 4 p.m. – 9 p.m., with a rosary at 6 p.m. and will resume Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
