Rev. "Tex" Homer J. Guidry

Rev. “Tex” Homer J. Guidry went home to be with the Lord on March 29, 2019 surrounded by his loved ones after a long illness. He loved nothing better then to Preach the Gospel of Christ and prayed daily for all his family and friends to know Jesus.

Rev. Tex is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Jean Guidry of Sulphur; a daughter, Ramona Foreman and husband Robert; 2 sons, Wes Guidry, and Brian Guidry; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and his brother Calvin Guidry. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mamie and Oran Guidry; 2 brothers, Earl and Hubert Guidry; and sister, Betty Myers.

A memorial service will be held Friday, April 12, 2019 at 7 P.M. at Calvary Baptist Church in Sulphur, LA with Pastor Steve Avera officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 5 P.M. till time of the service. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson and Robison Funeral Home.
