Ricardo Antonio "Ricky" Jerez, Jr.

Ricardo Antonio “Ricky” Jerez, Jr., 77, of Lake Charles passed away at 10:16 AM on Sunday, July 27, 2025 in a local hospital.

Mr. Jerez was born on September 11, 1947, in Guatemala City, Guatemala. He later moved to New Orleans, Louisiana, where he attended Loyola University.

Mr. Jerez began his professional career with Crowley Maritime, a path that eventually led him to Lake Charles, where he was transferred, met his future wife, and later retired as an operations supervisor. Known for his strong work ethic and dedication, he found great purpose and fulfillment in his career—his true passion in life was working.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 30 years, Micki Jerez; daughters, Lucy J. Cloeren (Dereck) and Laura J. Cavys; and his beloved grandchildren, Sawyer and Quinn Cloeren and Emery Hart.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Beulah and Ricardo Jerez, Sr. and a sister, Christina Delon.

Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
