Richard Louis Boese
May 30, 1935 — August 16, 2023
Richard Louis Boese, born May 30, 1935, son of Ben and Caroline (Abrahams) Boese, passed away August 16, 2023, at the age of 88.
A graduate of LaGrange High School, class of 1953, Richard owned and operated Boese Paint & Body Shop. After he retired, he taught paint & body for the Calcasieu Parish School Board. He enjoyed visiting with family, friends, fishing, shrimping, crabbing, and gardening.
Richard is survived by his daughters, Carrie Nichols and husband, Kenny, and Christy Henderson and husband, Ken, all of Moss Bluff; granddaughter, Tara Leeds and husband, Shelby; great-grandchildren, Howard & Noelle Leeds; siblings, Jim Boese (Dianna) of Lake Charles, and Carol Ann Buck of Sherman Oaks, CA.
The family would like to thank Brighton Bridge Hospice, and Dr. Mark LaFuria for the excellent care given to Richard.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to University United Methodist Church, 3501 Patrick Street, Lake Charles, LA 70605.
Graveside services are Monday, August 21, 2023 at Highland Memory Gardens at 3 p.m. with Pastor John Hoffpauir officiating. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life for Richard & Nelda Boese at a later date.
