Richard George “Ricky” Arnold, 81, of Sulphur passed away peacefully in his sleep, after a lengthy illness on January 16, 2017 in a local care center. Rick was a Veteran of the Louisiana Naval Reserve. He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, St. Theresa’s Knights of Columbus, a former member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union, OCAW, and the Rodeo Cowboys Association. After retiring, Rick enjoyed wood working, and often said he was “a jack of all trades, and a master of none”.
Rick is survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara (Devall) Arnold; three children, Jan Chauvin (Michael), Marla Fontenot (Cliff, Jr.), and Mitch Arnold (Chris); 10 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Hazel Arnold; and a brother, Dennis Arnold.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 1 P.M. at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Carlyss with Father Edward Richard, M.S. officiating. Burial will be in Pujol Cemetery in Big Lake under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 from 5-9 P.M. with a rosary at 7 P.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home with visitation continuing on Thursday, January 19 from 9 A.M. till time of leaving for the church.Visits: 2
