Richard Roland Gray
August 26, 1957 — October 27, 2023
Richard Roland Gray, born on August 26, 1957, in Amarillo, Texas, son of Richard Kenneth Gay and Mary Lynn (Laughter) Gay, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, October 27, 2023, at the age of 66.
Richard moved to the Lake Charles area after high school. He was an active member of Trinity Baptist Church, where he enjoyed singing in the choir. Some of his favorite things he enjoyed doing were traveling with his wife, music, watching sports, and spending time with family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Sidney Eugene Miller.
Survivors include his loving wife of 14 years, Rosa Gray; children, Troy and Josh LaBouve, and Megan Marie Fontenot; siblings, Edward Leon Miller (Sherry), Elizabeth Ann Moyal, and Sherry Lynn Gay, and grandchild, Kaleb LaBouve.
Memorial services will be held in the Chapel of Trinity Baptist Church on Monday, October 30, 2023 at 2 p.m. with Bro. Randy Monroe officiating. A Gathering of friends and family will begin at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Trinity Baptist Church. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
