Richard Keigley

Richard Louis Keigley, 66, passed away on August 25, 2026. Richard also known as “Rico” to his many friends was born on September 13, 1959, in Crowley, LA, to Elmo A. “Dickie” and Mary Alice LeBlanc Keigley.

Richard loved golfing, watching LSU football and baseball, outdoor cooking and backyard campfires. His back patio was the gathering place for all of his family and friends. He was a history buff and enjoyed classic westerns, music and sports. Spending time at the beach with his wife, Glenda and fishing and golfing with his son, Kale were some of the best days of his life. Richard started his career as an Operator at PPG industries and worked in the industry for 36 years. He was also a talented carpenter and wood craftsman.

Richard is survived by his wife of 29 years, Glenda; his son, Kale; his sister, Virginia George and husband, Steve; nieces, Megan Spelich and husband, Nate and Allison Clark; and his great nieces, Harper Spelich and Paige Spelich. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of life for Richard will be held on Monday, August 31, 2026, from 11-1 PM at Becky’s Catering and Event Center, 5121 Lyons Road in Carlyss. Please come casual and comfortably dressed.
