Obituary for Ricky Kurt Bellard September 7, 1956 – November 6, 2025
Ricky Kurt Bellard, a Louisiana native with a rebel’s heart and a rock-and-roll soul, passed away on November 6, 2025, at the age of 69.
Born to Hilton and Angelle Bellard on September 7, 1956, Ricky grew up surrounded by love, laughter, and a touch of mischief, the kind that would carry through his whole life. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Freddie Bellard, and his beloved wife, Deborah Bellard, who no doubt welcomed him home with open arms. His sister, Bonnie Roper, carries on the family flame.
Ricky was a man who did things his way. A dedicated businessman and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he built a life filled with hard work, loud music, and genuine love. He had a knack for fixing what was broken, whether it was a house, a bad day, or someone’s spirit. His laugh could fill a room, and his opinions could too, but always with that trademark grin that let you know you were in on the joke.
He leaves behind his children Sarah Bellard, Jessica Shotwell (Dusty), Joshua Adaway (Chrissy) , Aimee Adaway (Jeff), and Rebecca McNabb (Anthony) and his 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Ricky’s life was proof that a good heart beats louder than any guitar riff and he will echo on in the stories, songs, and love he leaves behind.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Ricky’s life the way he lived it — with laughter, good stories, and maybe a little classic rock and roll.
