Rita Faye Hester

Rita Faye Hester, 68, of Lake Charles died at 8:52 PM on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 in a local care facility.

 Mrs. Hester was born on October 20, 1947 in Port Arthur, TX and had lived in Sulphur and Gillis before moving to Lake Charles 20 years ago.  She attended Sulphur High School.  Her passion in life was spending time with her family.  She was an avid reader and will be remembered for her great cooking skills.

 Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 53 years, George Hester of Lake Charles; a son, Kevin Hester (Heidi) of Spring Branch, TX; a daughter, Kim Hutchins (Jim) of Sharpsburg, GA; three sisters, Anna Terro, Rose Daigle (Adam), and Cassy Kendall (Winston) all of Sulphur; a brother, Delton Thibodeaux (Mimi) of Katy, TX; grandchildren, Julia, Jayne, Jenna, and Jessica Hutchins, Haley Ramirez (Eric), and Kari Hester; and one great granddaughter, Ryleigh Hester-Gonzales.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, Stella and Freddie Thibodeaux and two sisters, Mary Fruge and Mildred Henry.

 Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.

 The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Harbor Hospice and to the staff of Rosewood Nursing Home for their sincere care and compassion given to Mrs. Hester.
