Hayes – Robert Lee Authement, born on April 30, 1952, son of the late Edward J. and Della (Derouen) Authement, passed away in his residence on July 26, 2020, at the age of 68.
Robert served in the U. S. Army. He worked in the oil field for many years. Robert enjoyed tinkering on odds and ends, being outdoors, and building deer stands. Most of all, his family was his pride and joy.
Robert is survived by his wife of 49 ½ years, Stella (Wells) Authement of Hayes; sons, Mike Authement (Shawna) and Chuck Authement, all of Hayes; grandchildren, Morgan Lynn; Seth Michael; Deanna “Grace”; Keagan Charles; Makayla Jane; siblings, Gordy “Butch” Authement (Pam) of Welsh; Edward “Eddie” Authement (Beverly) of Hayes; Nancy Trahan (Ronnie) of Many; Geraldine Guidry of Hayes. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Norma Breaux.
Graveside services are in Hayes Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at 11 a.m. Pastor Gary Evers, officiant.
