Robert "Bob" Joseph Elliott

Robert “Bob” Joseph Elliott, 63, of Lake Charles, lost his 10 month battle with cancer on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 in his residence while surrounded by family.

Mr. Elliott was born in Joliet, IL on October 15, 1954 to Audrey and Kenneth Elliott. He was raised in Dubuque, IA where he attended Dubuque Senior High School, and later moved to Lake Charles in 1994. He worked in the casino industry for over 23 years as a Craps dealer, Pit manager, and Poker Room manager. Mr. Elliott was an avid poker player and enjoyed restoring old vehicles. He also enjoyed going on cruises and traveling. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. His grandchildren will truly miss their “Da.”

Left to cherish is memory is his loving wife of 35 years, Linda Elliott; children, Nicole Poole, Scott Elliott (Georgia), and his Fur-son, Tee-Bob, his English Bulldog; grandchildren, Abigail and Kenley Poole; sisters, Theresa Sawvell (Alan), Thelma Breitsprecker (Ray), Toni Helle, and Jennifer Heath (Brad); brothers, Kenneth Elliott, Jr., Doug Krause (Barbara), and Steven Connor (Linda); as well as his daughter, Jamie Theisen (Josh) of Dubuque IA, and their children.

Mr. Elliott is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Tracy Elliott.

There will be a gathering of family and friends at Johnson Funeral Home on Friday, December 8, 2017 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
