Robert Eugene "Bob" Muir

Iowa ~ Robert Eugene “Bob” Muir, born in Ligonier, PA on June 20, 1950, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at the age of 73.
Bob worked for the Town of Iowa Public Works for 35 years, was a Sergeant for the Iowa Police Reserve for 15 years and was an Iowa volunteer firefighter for 9 years. He was a member of East Ridge Baptist Church. Bob enjoyed fishing, serving his community, and was always the first to help anyone in need. Bob had a great love for the community of Iowa.
Survivors are his loving wife of 44 years, Debbie Muir; siblings, James T Muir and wife Sun, William Muir, Candy Sims and husband Jesse; beloved pets, Casey, Bella and Mac.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Catherine (Myers) Muir.
Funeral services will be held in Johnson & Brown funeral home of Iowa on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at 1 p.m. Bro. Alan Weishampel, Celebrant. Cremation will follow the service under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation will begin Monday in the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and will resume Tuesday at 10 a.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to East Ridge Baptist Church.
