Robert Earl “Bob” Stark, 83, of Orange, Texas passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2017. Bob was born on August 20, 1934 in Dequincy, LA. He was a minister for 62 years and at the age of 73 he started the ROC Church in Lake Charles. He retired as a Business Development Manager for Greenberry Industrial in Sulphur. Bob loved to preach, fish, golf, spend time with his family and grandchildren and go out to eat. Bob was a people person and never met a stranger.
Bob is survived by his wife, Shirley Stark; four children, Danny Stark and wife Joan of Reeves, Candy Fontenot and husband Paul of Moss Bluff, Steve Stark and wife Julie of Lake Charles and Beth Langston and husband Dave of Orange, Texas; two stepchildren, Jason Billings and wife Christine of Centralia, Washington and Jennifer Sleeman and husband Josh of Elbe, Washington; one brother, Earl Stark and wife Kathy of Broussard; 18 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; and many other that knew him as Paw Paw. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Betty Skipper Stark; his parents, one brother, Lynn Stark, Sr. and a grandson, Stevie Langston.
Services for Bob will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at 10 AM at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home in Sulphur with Steve Stark and Dave Langston officiating. Burial will follow in Rigmaiden Cemetery in Dequincy. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 from 4-8 PM and visitation will resume on Wednesday from 8 am until the time of service.Visits: 19
