Robert Brian Arceneaux, 56 years old, of Lake Charles, passed away in his home on July 26, 2018.
He was a native of Lake Charles and graduated from Barbe High School in 1979. Upon high school, Robert played racquetball professionally in New York. He returned home and worked as a crane operator all over the state and country. He was truly a Louisiana sportsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and racquetball, but his favorite thing to do was watch his children compete in sports.
Those left to cherish his memory are his two children, Christina and Don Charles Arceneaux, sister, Mona Arceneaux, her two children, Tanya White and Stacy Jefferson, sister in law, Jo Arceneaux, her two children, Angela and Timmy Seay, Veronica Karam and Joey McNeely, soon to be son-in-law, Trent Bazinet, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Emma McCall Arceneaux and Charles Lawrence Arceneaux, brother, Patrick Ross Arceneaux, and sister Phyllis Arceneaux.
A funeral service will be held at Johnson Funeral Home at 10:00 AM on Monday, July 30, 2018. The Rev. Tony Bourque will officiate. Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Grand Chenier, LA with Fr. Clyde Thomas officiating. Visitation will begin on Sunday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Monday from 9:00 AM until the start of the service.
