Grand Chenier-Robert Wayne Dowd, 56, passed away Monday, January 19, 2015.
Robert was born November 20, 1958 to the late Thomas Lonnie Dowd and Loretta Mae Miller Dowd. He was employed as a commercial fisherman and loved fishing, gardening, walking and also weather watching.
His survivors include his daughter Sheila Dowd of Chipley, FL; siblings, Michael Dowd (Carrie) of Grand Chenier, Jimmie Dowd of Iowa, LA, Sue Fontenot of Lake Arthur, LA, Shirley Conner (Ronnie) of Grand Chenier, LA and Steve Laughlin (Mandy) Clay City, KY; granddaughter, Annalei Dilmore; beloved pets, Sam and Armpit.
Visitation will begin on Friday, January 23, 2015 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. with a rosary and memorial service at 7 p.m.
Burial will be in St. Eugene Cemetery at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2015.
