Iowa –Robert Dale Gauthier, born in Jennings on December 27, 1938, passed away after a courageous battle with several illnesses surrounded by his daughter and her family on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at the age of 82.
Robert was a graduate of Jennings High and attended college for 2 years. He retired after 28 years of retail management and then worked as a truck driver for 14 years. Robert loved dancing with the “Boogie Buddies.” They gave him a reason to live after his beloved wife, Jeannette passed away.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; brother, Henry Albert Gauthier; son, Robbie Dale Gauthier.
Robert is survived by his devoted daughter, Michelle Gauthier and husband, Allen Menard and 5 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Friday, June 4, 2021, at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will begin on Friday at 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m.
