Robert Glynn Aucoin

Robert Glynn Aucoin, 78, passed away at his residence on, Wednesday, August 1, 2018.

He was born on January 16, 1940 to Kenny and Vernice Aucoin in Chataignier, LA.

He served his country honorably in the United States Army for six years before serving as a Lake Charles City Police Officer and Calcasieu Parish Sherriff’s Deputy. He will be remembered as loving family man who was devoted to his family.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Aucoin; daughters, Rachel Aucoin, Donna Fontenot, and Lisa Guidry (Jack); grandchildren, Hannah Courtney, Robert Joseph Courtney and Victoria Lane Lupo; great grandchildren, Laney, Robert, Dahja and Keke; and step granddaughter, Heather Moore.

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Ashley and great granddaughter, Shae.

His funeral service will be held at Johnson Funeral Home at 3:00 PM, Friday, August 3, 2018. The Very Reverend Anthony Fontenot will officiate. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of services in the funeral home.
