Robert Guillory

Robert Guillory, 70, of Lake Charles, LA passed away on May 7th in North Little Rock, AR, after a valiant 67-year battle with diabetes.

Rob was born on February 16th, 1955, to Herbert and Mary (LaHaye) Guillory in Lake Charles, LA. After graduating from LaGrange High School in 1973, he went on to study Computer Science at McNeese University.

After graduation, he accepted a job in Houston, TX but ultimately chose to return to Lake Charles. He always had an intense interest in the healthcare field and worked in pathology for a few years before he settled into medical computer analysis. He continued his work in the field until retirement in 2012 at Christus Health Saint Patrick's.

Rob met Anita (Hainley) Irvin in 2001 and ultimately married becoming a stepdad to Kevin Irvin and Lauren (Irvin) Santini.

Rob's true passion was playing tennis. He played throughout his entire life starting in high school. He also enjoyed attending Blue Angel air shows, rooting for McNeese, LSU and the Saints and spending time with his grandchildren.

Rob is predeceased by his parents, brother Thomas, and sisters Janet and Nancy. He is survived by his wife, Anita Guillory; stepchildren Kevin Irvin and wife Ashley, Lauren Santini and husband James; and his four grandchildren, Benjamin, Maxwell, Madalyn and Harper. His aunt, Pamela Fontenot and husband John; his sister-in-law Rebecca Guillory and numerous nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will begin at 9:30am, Thursday, June 5, 2025, with a memorial service to begin at 11:00am all at Johnson Funeral Home, 4321 Lake St. Lake Charles, LA. 70605. Burial of Rob's urn will follow the service at Consolata Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to an organ transplant organization or a diabetes organization in his name, Rob was deeply passionate about both causes.
